BEE SCALE-UP Competition Overview
BEE SCALE-UP Competition is a 7-month business case competition by the BEE Business Club aiming to empower students (ages 13–22) from secondary to university levels—especially in Malaysia's B40 communities—through real-world business problem solving.
- Participants are assigned 2 real Penang-based local businesses and must create innovative, sustainable expansion plans using finance, marketing, and tech.
- Benefits: RM2000–3000 prize pool, professional mentorship, internships, and certificates.
- Education accessibility: peer/industry mentorship, financial literacy workshops, and STEM-focused training.
- Key Dates: Registration opens April 2025; Prelims: Sept 10; Finals: Nov 10.
- Target: 100–700 students from Penang, Malaysia, and Asia. Submission in English (no penalty for second-language learners).
Website functions: competition overview, organizer intro, sponsor logos, student login, study resources, team finder, registration link, and certificate download.
Tools: Google Docs, Teams, Notion, Canva. Metrics: number of viable business plans, impact on local economy, participant skill growth.
